Nollywood star Mary Njoku has publicly criticised the handling of Comfort Emmanson, the female passenger forcefully removed from an Ibom Air flight.
She describes the viral incident as a gross violation of the woman’s dignity and privacy.

Taking to her Instagram page on Tuesday, Mary Njoku clarified that she had no objection to the airline offloading a passenger if safety or protocol required it,
However, she found the alleged stripping of Emmanson and the circulation of that footage online completely unacceptable.
“I understand removing her from the plane, that’s not the issue,”Mary Njoku wrote.
“What I cannot understand is stripping her while doing so and then putting it all over the internet.”
The filmmaker stressed that airline and airport staff are trained professionals, and such actions should never form part of their operational procedures.
“I refuse to believe that dehumanising someone, stripping a woman naked, and broadcasting it online is part of that training, no matter what crime she may have committed,” she added.
Mary Njoku further stated that Emmanson deserved compensation for the “irreparable damage” done to her life, dignity, and reputation.
She urges authorities to take the matter seriously and hold those responsible accountable.
